Yes, I am truly looking forward to raising Godly young men who are bold leaders in their faith, community and workplace.

I am praying that your hunt for a place to make your home is going well.

God Bless you!

Thank you for leaving encouraging words on my blog "Single Big City Homeschooler." I appreciate those words, and I know they are God sent.

God bless you and yours, and I encourage you as a homeschooling Dad. Many dads participate in homeschooling, but very few do the daily work with their childrne. I am sure this is a unique and rewarding experience for you.

Thanks for reading my blog. I know that he will do fine and I am really looking forward to working with him. I love the look in his eyes when he understands and discoveries something. It is absolutely priceless.

I don't know whether you were homeschooling when you were out west but the records requirements for us are not nearly as onerous as they seem to be for you but then that could change. It seems that as the popularity of homeschooling grows, so does the institutional resistance to it. I want my children's mentors to be adults not other people's children. They are currently attending a great christian school and yet they are still bringing home behaviors and attitudes that are inappropriate.

Hopefully in our travels we will get out to the east coast and get a chance to see you again. It has been a loooooooong time!

Blessings KellieSue, we love you!

I am looking forward to being able to use the world as a classroom. We are looking forward to being able to travel when we want to and add real world experiences to the kids education. My wife owns her own business so we will have the ability to travel when we want to.

I've never been a dad, but I homeschool a son that has been described like yours. Breaking into tears when sitting down at the table to do school work.

Homeschooling provided him a great opportunity to get through, and over that emotional hurdle. It's been fun watching him grow and get excited about his education.

I'm pleased that there are so many varieties of educational material available to educate a child as you prefer. NY state is homeschool hostile, but it's still do-able. My mother gasped at the specific Individual Instruction at Home plans I must file each fall, and the individual quarterly reports I must file 4 x a year.

IThe paperwork, awaiting approval from the state for each step, is drudgery, compared to the actual home schooling, but I figure it's just another stage of labor. Push, push, push, don't push. That. loss. of. being. in. control. doesn't. appeal. to. my. redheaded. soul.

My father homeschooled my brother who was born when he was 50. Boeing politely offered a golden parachute for retirees, so he retired after 35 years at Boeing, without looking back. The trips they took to Europe and Latin America were an integral part of Steve's education, and their bonding. Dad's 73 now, Steve's applying for law school, and they speak on the cell phone so often you'd think they were living in the same state.

Thanks for the comments. I enjoyed your blog and I have placed you blog on my must read list. I will be checking back in at least weekly.

There are situations in photography that lend themselves to a panoramic framing. The beach is one that comes immediately to mind. The next image I will use is one from Cannon Beach OR. It is still an excellent exercise to think in that format when shooting and it has been a learning experience to take previously shoot images and rethink them.

Thanks again!

I change my header about once or twice a week and have wrestled with the same problem! I now take pictures with that cropped little rectangle in mind sometimes. With 4 kids of various ages, I could never find a picture where I didn't have someone's head chopped off or under the crop zone. It's a nice new push to my creativity. :)

Nice to meet you, BTW. I'm enjoying your posts and recommendations!
